Every society has a limit on peoples freedom in order to keep the country constantly and peacefully.
Political activist, author, and theorist thomas paine once said government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil in its worst state, an intolerable one. One could argue that government is most definitely necessary, but not an evil.
a government is necessary because it is an organized system of leadership that is needed in any society. Once people live together in a larger community that comprises of more than just the extended families, a government is important to handle the evolving nature of their existence.
thomas pain used several ideas that include government is a necessary evil, america will eventually be independent, britain will always oppress the american colonies to influence the american people, and the importance of allies. Thomas paine was born on january 29th, 1737 in thetford, england.
The government is a necessary evil, it is now and it has always been. Paine and thoreau eventually lost hope in a change they realized the government will never change. They accepted the fact that no matter what there will always be a government, and when people receive the power to lead and to make decisions, they turn corrupt.
Is government necessary the government plays an important role in the country. Every society has a limit on peoples freedom in order to keep the country constantly and peacefully.
Almost everyone is a mixture of good and bad, and its the bad side of human nature that needs to be restrained by the power of government.
Because without government and laws there would be people running up and down the streets killing each other. With no police officers enforcing the law or with out any laws at all, our country would be in total chaos and crisis. Also because of no taxes we wouldnt have the army so we wouldnt have any protection from an invasion.
For the layman, this is the main reason why minimal government is necessary.
